Broomfield, CO – July 20th, 2016 – Romantic comedies have always won hearts with their soulful love stories, layered with a feel-good tinge of humor. Great news for those on the lookout of fresh rom-coms – SAG-AFTRA actor MacLeish Day is soon to bring his upcoming romantic comedy “Once, With Maggie” to Colorado to capture the scenic beauty of the State as a lovely backdrop for the film.
Produced under the banner of Day’s production company FireFaux entertainment, the film is slated to have its debut on December 4th, 2016. Day will direct, produce and star in the lead role of the rom-com.

After a halt in the initial stages of the production, the film now features a new set of cast & crew. LA film, television & stage actress Jessica Bishop would be starring opposite Day in the film, as Maggie. The rom-com will also star famous TV actors Joseph Harris & Trevor Anthony Pitzel of Criminal Minds & Modern Family fame, respectively.
Written by Natalia Roberts, “Once, With Maggie” speaks of a cute romantic plot where the boy meets his girl in tight circumstances. The protagonist of the film is Zane, an everyday man, who is hopeful to fall for and find the true love of his life. As a sudden play of fate brings him to Maggie, he is left wondering whether this lovely girl is the true match for him that he has been looking for so long.
A Boulder native, Day has been into acting since the age of 12. He has studied at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Musical Theatre and his ICA-award winning role of Oscar Linquist under Broadway-director Adam Pelty’s “Sweet Charity” earned him a place in Interlochen Arts Academy. Later on, he did his graduation from Interlochen & earned his BA in Musical Theatre from University of Northern Colorado. After graduation, Day had starred in several short & indie films, including “The Highwayman” that also stars Martin Kove of Karate Kid-fame. He finished his post graduation from Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
“Once, With Maggie” would mark the debut directorial venture for the SAG-AFTRA actor.
The film is expected to release by the end of this year or by the early quarters of 2017.
