Sobriety Coach, James Healy, hosts a new upcoming online radio show, Recovery Innovators Radio, which is designed to provide new and proven strategies for addicts and alcoholics working towards successful long-term sobriety.

Healy’s podcast will interview experts and others in the addiction recovery industry in an effort to highlight success strategies that work in today’s fast-paced environment. The show is set to launch mid-August of 2016.

“I know from personal experience how difficult it can be to tap into recovery resources and professional help. I hope this show provides valuable insight for alcoholics and addicts in recovery, as well as their loved ones who are impacted along the way.

I also want to help other industry leaders learn new, effective strategies and network with fellow professionals. I’m honored and excited to start this new adventure,” said Healy.

Alternative, holistic treatment styles are gaining mainstream appeal, industry leaders are taking note as the federal government passes a bill to help fund new treatment opportunities.

Earlier this spring, the House and the Senate passed legislation targeting heroin and prescription opioid abuse and combined their efforts this summer to create the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA), recently signed into law by the president on July 22. Many feel this new law is a crucial step in the fight to end the heroin and opioid epidemic sweeping our nation.

“Will this one law end the opioid overdose epidemic we face entirely? Probably not. Is it a necessary and responsive multifaceted approach that will curb and even reduce its growth? Yes. What’s next? We all must make this public health crisis a priority to prevent future generations from suffering with addiction,” stated U.S. Representative Darin LaHood (IL).

Mr. Healy’s goal for the Recovery Innovators Radio show is to help bring even more attention to this health crisis.

Times are changing and addiction to drugs, alcohol and even screens is rampant. Addiction help centers, therapists and coaches are currently swamped with demand.

A story in USA Today stated, “In the past five years, efforts to treat the growing number of opioid drug users have kicked into overdrive, with local governments and medical agencies scrambling to mobilize resources.

But they’re not keeping up. Between insurance roadblocks and the high demand for inpatient treatment slots, centers that may offer the best chances for recovery are struggling to cope.”

The demand for addiction recovery knowledge along with access to strategies and services is growing, and Recovery Innovators Radio will service that need.

“As a long-term recovered alcoholic and drug user, I have a special place in my heart for helping as many people touched by addiction as I can,” Healy concluded.
