Making History with Her New Celebrity Friends. WNBA Star Aerial Powers and Singing Sensation Keyondra Lockett

Kenya® has found a new home with SmartZone (HK) and has brought along two of her celebrity friends. The Kenya® doll brand has been one of Americas favorite ethnic doll brands and a staple in the African American community for 25 years.  Kenya® has empowered moms for years and now their daughters can play with her and her new friends too.  Kenya® has powered up with WNBA star player, Aerial Powers on the “I can do it team” as Kenya® cheers Aerial on with positive messages that inspire young girls. New on the Teen Scene™ is Kenya’s friend singing sensation, Keyondra Lockett who helps Kenya® as they face new encounters of Junior High School.  Together they overcome daily challenges on the Teen-Scene™.

SmartZone is excited to celebrate the silver anniversary of Kenya® this year.  Women who grew up playing with Kenya® as kids are now able to share their Kenya® stories with their daughters who are now able to enjoy playing with their Kenya® dolls. Kenya® has been a trusted brand name with kids of color, helping them to utilize their own creative imagination with a doll that shares their color and likeness.

At SmartZone, we are all about providing kids creative ways to positively express themselves with toys and dolls kids can relate to. The Kenya® doll brand also includes her fun lovable friends, Korina, Kenzy, Kiana, and baby Keyara. Kenya and friends are on a mission to visit schools, conduct community events and make in-store appearances to share the message of growing up proud.

In 2017 Kenya® Introduces her new Gold-N-Glitzy® doll line.  Kenya® and Friends was created to provide girls of color with a toy that reflects their appearance (both skin tone and features) and can be used as a tool to instill self-esteem.

Kenya’s new friends, Aerial Powers and Keyondra Lockett will hit retail stores in 2017.  The Kenya® Doll brand will be available for purchase mid-September at the following retailers, RiteAID, CVS, Cracker Barrel, Burlington coat factory, Seventh Ave, Toys R US Express, HEB, and Variety Wholesalers.
