On October 19th, Prime Health finalists will compete for $150,000 in seed funding and the opportunity to pilot their digital health solution in a host institution. According to Matrix Analytics Founder and CMO, Dr. Aki Alzubaidi, “The opportunity to partner with Prime Health and the host sites will allow us to prove LungDirect can make a dent in lung cancer survivorship. As anyone who has been touched by cancer knows, time is everything. Lets get going!”
Dr. Aki, a practicing Interventional Pulmonologist in Denver, CO, developed LungDirect (https://lungdirect.com/) after much frustration in the disjointed care pulmonary nodule patients often receive. Dr. Aki and his staff were stuck using Excel spreadsheets and other dated mechanisms to manage nodule patients because the electronic medical record systems could not. Frustrated, and wanting to make a dent in lung cancer survivorship, he launched Matrix Analytics. Today, LungDirect offers an innovative way for providers to manage both lung cancer screening patients and other at-risk pulmonary nodule patients.
