How Our Talking Cures PTSD, Psychological Disorders, and Marriage Problems, written by David W. Shave MD, reveals a cognition of the mind that has an immense emotional importance that previously was thought to be diagnostic of, and limited to, schizophrenia. It is this hidden universal cognition that creates a dimension of human communication never fully recognized before this book, by this author, or by anyone else, that has the capacity to make any person more emotionally comfortable. This dimension involves part-oriented, unconscious, metaphorical communications where unrecognized anger is continually being directly expressed to an interested listener, which then reduces the previously repressed anger that created an uncomfortable level of an unconscious entity from which psychological symptoms arise.
People become more emotionally comfortable by reducing their unconscious entity. This fascinating dimension of human communication is revealed in detail by multiple examples. This book will convincing show that it’s much more the listening in any counseling endeavor that will make the psychological cure, and much less the counsel, and that any continued talking, to any perceived listener, whether human or divine, can be marvelously curative. This is a book that will truly stir the mind of any reader.
