New Pop Artist – Brett Patterson – Launches Campaign

Pop/R&B Artist Accelerates Growth Through Kickstarter to Engage Fans in Upcoming Release

SACRAMENTO, CA – 10/25/2016 (PRESS RELEASE JET) — Brett Patterson, an emerging Pop/R&B artist has launched a crowdfunding initiative to create awareness around his upcoming EP titled, “To Whom It May Concern.”  This launch marks the singer/songwriter’s strength and drive to continue forward in his career following a devastating car accident and his decision to release this EP with the support of his fans.

Buzz among music executives began to generate after word got out Brett had been working with Grammy nominated producers known for producing with Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Cody Simpson, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Empire, Disney and hundreds of other relevant credits. Brett started progressing through the traditional music industry system and prepared to sign with a major label, but everything changed one day while driving to film a new music video. Living in LA at the time, Brett was in a serious car accident shattering his leg and causing him to go into several months of therapy and rehabilitation. His production was placed on hold. During this time, people from all over showed their support and encouragement leading Brett to write some of his most powerful and relatable lyrics and realize the kind of brand he wants to build for his fans. “Everybody wanted to turn me into this sex icon because it’s easy for them to market and make money, but I just feel like the world needs more than that. A lot of people are living in difficult times even though they try to hide it from the people around them, deep down they are struggling. It could be a girl in high school who feels like she doesn’t fit in, a kid who just found out their parents are splitting up, or maybe even just a college student trying to figure out who they are, and what they stand for. They don’t need just another sex idol being shoved in their face. What they really need is a brand they can look to that brings them hope, encouragement, and purpose. That’s the kind of music, and therefore brand, I want to build and if that doesn’t fit in the traditional music system, then it doesn’t fit. There’s plenty of ways to get music to fans these days, we just need to work together to get it out” explains Brett.

With Brett fully recovered, production is back into full swing with plans to release the project in the beginning of 2017. He’s leveraging crowdfunding platform “Kickstarter” to enable fans a way to be a part of the project. Samples of two of the singles titled “Naïve” and “Glue” can be found in his Kickstarter video.
