Per the Brewer’s Association, millennial women are part of the increase in diversity for the craft beer industry. These women also make up 15% over the index for the tap house venues. While these points made may seem valuable to the demographics and to the breweries, Sharyn Bey sees something more intriguing. A woman video journalist who loves to get the story is now producing a more in depth look at the culture of craft beer. Her latest project titled “Hoppy Trails” will take you on a tour across the U.S. featuring how the locals drink, eat and play.
The project currently in production reveals a different type of documentary style with a host and hostess to guide you through the selected venues. “I wanted to tell the backstories of both brew masters and the beer nerds once I learned how obsessed people are with locally made, handcrafted beer.” Bey continues “The beer is only the beginning; the journey is the reality.”
Filming will be completed by 2018 while the cast and crew scramble to get the pilot season finished by mid-2017. Sharyn Bey Productions is a well-known videographer who received her certification from The Travel Channel Academy in 2009.
