VA-certified IT SDVOSB seeks crowdfunding support at Indiegogo to raise initial operational income that will enable it to pay their veteran employees till the government starts to pay.

Colorado Springs, CO, November 21, 2016: A Service Disabled Combat Veteran and IT expert Mike Crandall has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo seeking support for the initial operation income of his company Digital Beachhead. Co-founded with another military veteran and IT pro Howard Zach, the VA-certified company needs community support to pay the employees once government service contracts are won. The firm is into defending American government networks with premium IT services and hires veterans from all over the nation.

The crowdfunding campaign is geared to raise around $94,000 within 2 months.

“We founded Digital Beachhead in 2015 and since then we are having financial issues, especially regarding paying our veteran employees on larger contracts. Yes, we bid on government contracts but they take quite a long time to pay which causes a serious crisis for a small business like us. We have tried the banking sector but they will not allow me to put up my house for business loan. I have no other assets to show as collateral & all my savings have been invested in the business. Lack of operational income means that we cannot hire more employees for larger projects, which poses a serious obstacle in the growth of our business. Thus, this crowdfunding campaign- your generous support would be much appreciated”, stated Mike while announcing about the crowdfunding campaign.

Speaking further, he explained that while on one hand the government does not extend advance payment, on another hand, a business cannot submit the first invoice before 30 days of the commencement of the project. Besides, after the first invoice is sent, it will take a minimum 30 days till government extends the payment. Altogether, it can take up to the 90-day mark till the company can actually start paying the employees from the government payment.

After his retirement from the military 6 years ago, Mike had worked for a large IT government contracting company. It was there where he met Howard who holds a 2-decade long government contracting experience.

“We are confident of our competitive edge in the market given our low rates and expertise in handling government contracts. To date, we have worked on small government contracts only in the US and currently are working with the USAF in Japan. New government contracts are starting to be released now and we are eagerly looking forward to being competitive in our service offerings. We are positive about successfully handling big contracts but the only issue is our lack of financial resources and we urgently need to pay our employees during the 90-days mark. No donation is too small for us and by supporting us, you would be supporting a VA-certified SDVOSB and all the veterans who are and would be working with us.”

A good host of perks are waiting for the donators. These include a fancy coffee mug embossed with Digital Beachhead & SDVOSB’s logos and a cool golf tee.
