After raising over $18,000 in 2015 for the local Christmas Angel Program, Resort Travel & Xchange (RTX) teams up with Patton Hospitality Management (PHM) and Resort Hospitality Solutions(RHS) to bring joy to the holidays once again.

RTX, PHM and RHS will host a casino-themed fundraising event and invite employees from Asheville, N.C. and other areas to make a difference in the community. All donations contributed by employees will go to benefit the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministries’ (ABCCM) Christmas Angel Program.

The premier vacation exchange company extends its commitment to superior service beyond customer care to community support. Resort Travel & Xchange is known for its social responsibility efforts and unmistakable principles over the years. The company’s affiliations with organizations such as the Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA) and the National Timeshare Ownership Association (NTOA) establish a history of high moral standards.

“We look forward to this event every year, and we are always blown away by how generous our employees are for this great cause. It is always a pleasure to partner with ABCCM knowing that we are helping so many children in need in our area,” said Sara Little, senior director of communications for Resort Travel & Xchange.

The ABCCM Christmas Angel Program’s mission is to provide hundreds of children the excitement of unwrapping toys and clothing on Christmas morning. The non-profit organization addresses poverty, homelessness, and access to health care by bringing dignity and hope to the underprivileged.

The event will exchange employees’ cash donations to play and win vacations and prizes donated by RTX, PHM and their affiliates. Last year’s event exceeded the set goal by nearly $3,000. This year Resort Travel & Xchange plans to reach $20,000. A major incentive for employees is the impact they are able to make after meeting the ambitious donation.

Employees will take the donation money to shop for the children, adding their personal touch to each present. Last year, employees filled more than five cars with purchases made by their contributions. RTX, PHM and RHS’s event demonstrates their employees’ belief that the holiday spirit does not stem from the gifts we get, but from selfless acts of spreading awareness and love to those who need it most.

RTX offers its members an industry leading vacation exchange platform that provides a variety of benefits and travel options such as low exchange fees, up to a four-year deposit window, reservation protection, and discounts on different travel options such as hotels, car rentals, air travel, restaurants and more. Additionally, the company also provides its partner resorts and management companies with customizable options and solutions, based on their needs and the needs of their customers.
