MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – 25 Jan, 2017 – Fiona E. Davis, Educational Consultant for the Learning Development and Standards Division of the People Development Command section of Victoria Police in Melbourne, Australia was selected by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for their prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for 2017!

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few members are chosen for this distinction based on their years of experience in the field, professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, and contributions to their communities.  These are truly incredibly talented professionals who have dedicated their life to their work and have had a lifetime of achievement and success!

Fiona will be honored at the 2017 IAOTP’s Annual Award Gala, for this award and will be receiving the Sapphire Diamond Crystal piece engraved for her Lifetime of Achievement and Success.

Fiona is being recognized for having over 3 decades of professional experience in education and for her commitment to the industry.  Stephanie Cirami, Vice President of IAOTP stated “Choosing Fiona for this award was an easy decision for our panel to make.  Fiona is a talented, dynamic, results-driven leader, who has demonstrated success throughout her career and we hope to meet her at our gala.  She is brilliant at what she does and she is a huge asset to the IAOTP organization.  We will be seeing more great things from this woman!”

Fiona joined Victoria Police in 2010. Her key responsibilities involve designing, training and assessing programs for police recruits, detectives, crime scene officers and prosecutors. She ensures that all training programs are compliant with national standards as Victoria Police is a Registered Training Organisation which means they can deliver nationally endorsed qualifications; she conducts continuous improvement audits, course evaluations, provides advice compliance with national standards; and develops educational processes and standardized document templates for all courses at the Police Academy to use. Over the last the last 2 years she has overseen the development of three training programs: one for detective training, one for crime scene officers and the last for prosecutors. This has improved the quality of the training for these programs and students receive a nationally recognised qualification upon completion of their training.

First starting out as a primary school teacher for children for 10 years, Ms. Davis found a passion for education very quickly.  She joined the Australian Army and was involved in education and training development for 20 years.  A highlight of her Army career was to be deployed to East Timor for 9 months where, as part of her duties, she led and managed a small team of military and civilian educators to teach English to members of the East Timorese Army. Ms. Davis maintains her connection to the Army by being an Army Reserve Officer and currently serves with the Australian Army History Unit as a museum manager.

Fiona is dedicated to continuing her education.  She currently holds a Master of Professional Studies in Instructional Design, a Master of Professional Studies in Teaching ESL students, a Bachelor of Education and diplomas in management and project management. She completed studying for two diplomas in late 2016: one in Training Design and Development and the other in Vocational Education and Training.

Ms. Davis has belonged to professional organizations throughout her career, and has been recognized globally for her hard work and accomplishments.  She is a member with the Australian Institute of Training and Development and Returned Servicemen’s League of Australia.  She was the recipient of the Australian Army Active Service Medal and the Australian Army Long Service Medal.  She was named Top VIP Member of Worldwide Branding in 2013 & 2014, selected as Top Female Professional for 2015 and featured in Pro-Files Magazine. She was also selected for the Worldwide Lifetime Achievement Award, featured in a chapter for the Top 101 Industry Expert publication, and  has been named “Top Educational Consultant of the Year” by the International Association of Top Professionals  for 2016.
