SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – February 3, 2017 – The National Protective Services Institute has announced the Spring 2017 schedule for its Executive/Dignitary/VIP Protection training course (known as the Protective Services Operations Course, or PSOC).
The National Protective Services Institute (NPSI) has long been known as a top school for anti-terrorism, executive protection, and firearms training. With a large variety of classes, from basic security to advanced law enforcement training, and basic first aid to advanced tactical medical training, students come from many sectors of the protection and emergency services field from across the world.
The next NPSI Protective Services Operations Course will be conducted March 26 through April 1, 2017. This intensive course is 105 hours long, and is intended for individuals who actually protect (or may protect) others, and consists of much more training than most other “Executive Protection” courses. The instructors have extensive, real-world experience, and bring that experience from the threat environment to the classroom environment to ensure students are receiving the tools they actually need in order to operate as a member of a protective detail. Whether operating in the government or private sector, students leave satisfied knowing they have prepared themselves to do the job right. While they hesitate to use the word, this course trains people to perform the job of what most people call a “bodyguard.”
NPSI admits students and provides employment to individuals of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, creed, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, political affiliation, physical disability, or veteran status. It does not discriminate in any of these categories in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic or other school-administered programs, and provides all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities to all students generally accorded or made available to any students at the school.
