BOISE, ID – 28 Mar, 2017 – World renowned bassist, vocalist and songwriter, Nik West to headline the Third Annual World Village Festival June 9th – June 11th, at Capitol Park in downtown Boise, ID. World Village Festival is a Four-day festival celebrating diversity through music, dance, art, food, and cultural events.
Global Lounge is honored to announce Nik West as headliner for the third annual 2017 World Village Festival June 9-11 at Capitol Park in downtown Boise (601 W. Jefferson Street, Boise, Idaho 83702). This show is being provided free of charge, however Global Lounge is accepting tax-deductible cultural and artistic programing donations on www.globallounge.org or in person at the Global Lounge booth at the festival.
Nik West is a world renowned electric bassist who delivers jaw-dropping bass prowess, powerful performance, expressive vocals and a high octane funk-inspired show. Her credits include work with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, Prince, Glee and more. Unique and hailed as one of the legendary bassists, singers, and songwriters of our time, Nik West is coming to light up the city with an all-ages performance that will move and inspire.
In addition to Nik West, World Village Festival also has the pleasure of announcing the addition of the Easy Star All-Stars a group that have established themselves as one of the top international reggae acts on the scene today. Thanks to their best-selling tribute album releases, Dub Side of the Moon (2003), Radiodread (2006), and Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band (2009), the remix album Dubber Side of the Moon (2010), as well as original releases Until That Day EP (2008) and First Light (2011), the Easy Star All-Stars have built a growing, dedicated fan base throughout the world, bringing together fans of reggae, classic rock, dub and indie rock into one big family. The band has toured in over 30 countries on 6 continents, averaging over 100 shows per year for the past 5 years.
Up and coming Funk/Reggae act The Elovaters are yet another addition to this amazing festival.
