Thailand Explored has published a guide to Bangkok’s night life providing readers with information on the city’s famous bars, nightclubs, and bustling markets. The guide offers detailed reviews of four of Bangkok’s popular night spots. These include Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza, Patpong, and Soi 11.
The review of each nightspot provided by Thailand Explored is objective and gives useful information on the positives and the downsides, their distance from the nearest Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) station, how long it will take to walk to and from different parts of the street, and average drink prices. The guide also provides links to best hotels in the area, particularly for the Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza nightspots.
The first nightspot reviewed by the site is the Soi Cowboy, which according to the guide is one of Bangkok’s oldest nightspots. Soi Cowboy is a 150-metre road crammed with 40 to 50 bars and Go Go’s. Drink prices are on a par with other popular nightspots around the world at 180 Baht ($5.50) and are easy to get to, only a short walk from the Asoke BTS station.
Nana Plaza is located on Soi 4 and consists of 3 floors of adult entertainment where the main clientele looks for the more raunchy aspect of Bangkok’s nightlife. Apart from Nana Plaza, visitors can walk further down Soi 4, and find many bars and restaurants, which include live music venues, and sports bars showing the UK and American sports.
Patpong Market is made of two streets; Patpong 1 and Patpong 2. The market is long and stretches from the Sala Daeg BTS stop to Patpong 1. However, the area is more famous for its adult entertainment, and previously had a seedy image where traders ripped unsuspecting tourist out of their hard earned dollars. But, Patpong has cleaned up its act where drinks are now charged as ordered and has become a mainstream tourist spot.
The last nightspot reviewed is Soi 11 and 13, which consist of more traditional bars and nightclubs usually found in western capital cities. The bars range from carts selling cheap cocktails and beers through to expensive super clubs such as Bed Bangkok.
Thailand Explored is a tourist review site that provides information on accommodation and attractions located in the country including Phuket and Pattaya as well as Bangkok.
