New York, NY – April 17, 2017 – For generations, apartment building residents in NYC and elsewhere have been at the mercy of their property owners and managers. Communicating building announcements and repairs was limited to information sheets taped to entry-way doors and maintenance requests submitted via phone and email would often go ignored.

Finally, with the arrival of web and mobile app Bixby, a NYC-based tech company, apartment owners, managers, and residents finally have the communication and hospitality platform they’ve been waiting for.

Bixby is not the first property management app to enter the owner and manager market, but it is one of the only mobile-first products that focuses its user experience as much on the resident as the manager. Bixby’s features include a message board to send building announcements, a maintenance request portal to submit, track, and schedule repairs, and a payment portal for rent and maintenance transfers. Other features include package tracking, storing and sharing of lease-related documents, and a suite of on-demand home services ranging from dry-cleaning to house-keeping, fulfilled mostly by local small businesses in the resident’s neighborhood.
