ORLAND, FL – 20 May, 2017 –
On Monday, May 1st Margaritaville Restaurants kicked off one its most celebrated holidays and honor a true American icon—the hamburger. The month long celebration will feature Atlantic City’s very own Chef Lee’s signature burger, California Grilled Cheeseburger. The release of the specialty burger will also kick off the Take a Bite Out of Paradise Sweepstakes.
In anticipation of National Hamburger Month, Margaritaville Restaurants challenged its chefs from all over to create their own signature burger and submit it for consideration during the month of May for the national food holiday. Chef Lee’s California Grilled Cheeseburger was selected as the winner. The Panini-style burger is topped with Monterey Jack cheese, crispy applewood smoked bacon, fresh sliced avocado and tomato, and served with a side of ranch dressing.
Originally from Philadelphia, Chef Lee began cooking at the age of 15 in sandwich shops in the Delaware Valley area. Given the option by his father to either join the Navy or go to college, Lee chose to enroll in the culinary apprentice program at Bucks County Pennsylvania Community College. He has 20 years of experience in Atlantic City including Caesars Casino, the Atlantic Club Casino, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
In addition to the speciality burger, guests will also be given the chance to win an awesome trip to Atlantic City through the Take a Bite Out of Pleasure Sweepstakes. The grand prize winner will receive a 4-day, 3-night stay at Resorts Casino & Hotel, a $500 American Express Gift Card, and a $100 Margaritaville Restaurants Gift Card.
