BLACKSBURG, VA – 30 May, 2017 – Click & Pledge, the technology company famous for its all-in-one online fundraising platform, celebrated its 17th anniversary Tuesday by introducing the world to its own dedicated nonprofit.
The Click & Pledge Foundation is dedicated to creating documentaries that highlight the amazing work that our Causes do. In the form of grants, the foundation will select a number of nonprofits who fit this year’s theme, which is titled “Project Home.”
Matt Sutherland, Click & Pledge’s spokesman and the foundation’s Content Director, explained how Project Home is a topic that’s so universal, yet so specific.
“More or less, all nonprofits are dedicated to providing a sense of stability for those who might not have it,” Sutherland said. “You know the old saying, ‘Home is what you make it.’ Regardless of your political opinions, your religious beliefs, your birthplace or your family history — we all have our own interpretation of what makes us feel safe. And when you’re stripped of that, it doesn’t matter who you are; it’s earth-shattering.”
As its mantra for 2017, Click & Pledge promised that 2017 would be the “Year of Causes.” Earlier this year the company resolved to invest its time and resources into highlighting its “Causes,” a moniker the company uses to refer to its customers.
“The Click & Pledge Foundation comprises visual storytellers by both profession and passion,” Sutherland said. “We believed it was time to give our collective talent some serious purpose.”
Two of the toughest challenges for the nonprofit sector are expanding awareness, while keeping marketing and advertising costs to a minimum. The foundation believes its efforts to create powerful video content can help alleviate this dilemma.
