The Truth About Rehab’s goal is to support science based research, businesses, causes, projects, products and services that fuel the burning need for change in the addiction treatment industry.
Drug overdose deaths in 2016 most likely exceeded 59,000, the largest annual jump ever recorded in the United States, according to preliminary data compiled by The New York Times. The main purpose of TheTruthAboutRehab.com is to provide unbiased addiction treatment information to the public and advocate that the addiction treatment industry be held to the same standards as the medical field. They aim to expose the corruption and dangerous practices that are currently accepted in the addiction treatment industry in order to help save lives.
Any funds collected through The Truth About Rehab will go towards the second documentary series of The Business of Recovery. The second version of The Business of Recovery series will focus on exposing patient brokering, insurance fraud, sober living conditions, and other questionable practices currently taking place in the addiction treatment industry.
