Angry Aliens Delivers Political Satire, Animated Alien-Style

NEW YORK, NY – A groundbreaking show has captured the interest of Amazon and YouTube fans of “animation with a cause.” Angry Aliens, the series described by its creator as “crapmation animation”, delivers unapologetic commentary on the state of US politics, through the caustic lens of those looking the situation while being (literally) far removed from it: aliens.

With the slogan “The truth is out of fashion”, Angry Aliens aims to challenge the political status quo, while highlighting the absurdity of living in an era where “alternative facts” have been embedded deep inside the electorate’s collective consciousness.

Featuring a group of colorful characters, which include, in addition to the series’ alien stars, the ubiquitous politicians who, for better or for worse, shape the current American political landscape, Angry Aliens strays far from cajoling audiences. On the contrary, the series aims to expose its featured characters for what they are, mocking the tiring, diplomatic manner with which the (majority) of mainstream media uses while approaching their innumerous antics.

“The show seems to be hitting homers with those who see it. People like it. It’s interesting. Amazon viewers are a little more discriminating – maybe more Trump supporters? And, while the series’ first season was a bit rough – it was still funny” said Michael Piehl, creator of Angry Aliens, who also who voices several of the characters that appear on the series. “For the second season, we started using some pretty cool animation software. The first season felt pretty clunky – that’s why I call it “crapmation” – so people don’t expect Pixar-level graphics.”

Angry Aliens is part of the studio that won the “Amazon Video Direct Star!” award for the month of July and August. The aforementioned award, which is handed out by Amazon to channels that flourish under the Amazon umbrella and contribute to the company’s expansion, is accompanied by significant cash bonuses.

“People said it should be on Comedy Central and Adult Swim, but I’m just glad to be on with Amazon and YouTube”, commented Mr. Piehl, when asked about why he insists on broadcasting the hit show through its current streaming platforms.

Angry Aliens Season 1 and 2 are available on, while select episodes can be found on the series’ YouTube channel.
