David McCammon, professional photographer and author of Image Power: Balancing Passion and Profit in Business, has spent many years developing his own photography business. In his book, he offers insight to those who want to earn a living as photographers on how to do so without compromising the quality of their work.
“When starting out as photographers, creatives, we’re often shy about charging for our services. In doing what we love, we can lose sight of our value as photographers, but I am here to tell you that you can do it!”
In his book, McCammon notes that with a commitment of time and energy, new photographers can build a professional business that will allow them to enjoy their art while enjoying compensation for their time and artistry. According to McCammon, many photographers struggle to value their own work and to charge accordingly. In his new book, he offers help for artists in such practical matters as how to price their products, how to seek the right photography jobs and how to explore alternative areas of photography.
As a teenager, McCammon discovered the joy of photography and has been practicing his craft for more than 30 years. Now, he is sharing his knowledge and experience in Image Power: Balancing Passion and Profit in Business.
