Dr. Artika R. Tyner, from Planting People Growing Justice LLC is pleased to announce they have received recognition as a 2017 American Small Business Champion by SCORE Mentors and Sam’s Club. Planting People Growing Justice LLC is like no other organization out there. They were not formed to be a company to work hard to make a profit. Instead, the team at the award-winning organization are there to make a difference in the global community.
Literacy has become a serious problem around the world including the USA. 1 in 4 children in America have not learned how to read. Students who are not proficient with reading by 4th grade are four times more likely to drop out of school (WriteExpress Corp.; Annie E. Casey Foundation). Dr. Artika R. Tyner wants to change that and make illiteracy a thing of the past through the pursuit of academic excellence. Her dedication and her mission to succeed through her organization has started to make a real difference.
Planting People Growing Justice LLC aims to make a difference to the world we live in through their new youth education program and literacy campaign.
Dr. Artika R. Tyner, from Planting People Growing Justice LLC said of the award: “I am so pleased that we have been recognized for our commitment to making the world a better place. By training the next generation of leaders, we can plant seeds of change and reap a harvest of justice and freedom.”
The organization will be releasing a new children’s book in the fall entitled: Justice Makes a Difference: The Story of Miss Freedom Fighter, Esquire. Dr. Tyner, otherwise known as Miss Freedom Fighter, Esquire, will hand deliver 1,000 books to schools across the globe. She will start with her hometown of St. Paul, MN and end the tour with a special visit to schools in Ghana. With each visit, she will inspire young people to discover the leader within through the pursuit of academic excellence and the unveiling of each student’s limitless potential.
