PNH Solutions is proud to announce that it has won the Innovation Award for Marketing (Self-Promotion) at The Gutenberg Awards for its reusable tote bags made of waste material. The Canadian company, with offices in Montreal and Mississauga, specializes in large-format printing but also produces a wide range of innovative and customizable marketing products for tradeshows, sporting events, retail environments and more.
This year marked the 35th Annual Edition of the Gutenberg Awards, where more than 350 print service providers and other industry professionals gathered to celebrate creativity, innovation and talent in the print industry.
The recycled bags “optimize PNH Solutions’ materials and help diminish its waste,” said Daniel Bouchard, Director of Production and Prepress.” But for PNH, this latest innovation is just one of several inter-connected initiatives to reduce its environmental impact and serve a customer base that’s increasingly interested in going green. In fact, the Company is already working toward ISO:14001:2015 Certification for Environmental management systems.
The 35th annual award ceremony took place at the Marché Bonsecours, in the Old Port of Montreal. In addition to this award win, PNH was also selected as a finalist for the Innovation and Technical Award, within the ‘Display’ category for its Double Pavilion and its ParticipACTION Space.
The reusable tote bags that earned PNH this victory are made of either fabric or vinyl waste materials. Moreover, PNH Solutions personalizes each bag according to its client’s artwork and includes its own logo, along with a description of its commitment to sustainable development.
While they act as personalized marketing tools, these reusable bags also reduce waste and contribute to PNH’s overall push toward eco-friendly production, which includes green alternatives such as water-based inks and sustainable print media.
