Jason Goldman, 43, Head of Equities, is promoted to Head of Global Equities of the Global Equity Division. He will manage the firm’s global equity strategy, including taking lead on future Hong Kong IPOs and secure funds, as well as the Mid Cap strategy. Goldman will manage all of the 100 Asset Managers, which will include 10 teams of equity managers.
Goldman, a member of the Global Equity Markets team since joining the firm as an investment trader in 2010, brings 23 years of experience to his role. Prior to joining GIH, he was a securities analyst at HSBC. He also worked as an investment manager at HSBC Asset Management and as an investment banking financial analyst for Henderson Capital in Hong Kong. Goldman holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the London School of Economics.
Mark Cohen, 35, Senior Portfolio Manager, is promoted to Senior Equity Trader and Team Manager on the U.S. Large Cap and Core IPO strategy, which includes the Fundamental Technology Equity fund. Cohen will share portfolio management responsibilities with co-portfolio managers Chung Loo, CFA, and Simon Wong, CFA. He also continues to provide fundamental research and analysis for the U.S. Large Cap Growth (Growth/VP Growth) and Hong Kong Focused Large Cap Growth (Focused Growth) strategies.
Cohen has been a member of the U.S. Large Cap Growth team since joining Global Investment Holdings in 2013. Previously, he was an analyst for CITI of London. Cohen earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Birmingham University, UK and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Finance from London School of Economics.
Simon Chow, CFA
Chow, 45, Institutional Executions and lead quantitative researcher for the GIH Group Large Cap, Legacy Multi Cap and Technology funds, is promoted to Global Equities Strategist and fund analyst on GIH Fund Management. Chow will oversee all institutional investments for Global Investment Holdings
A member of the team that initially created the quantitative models used to launch the Technology Funds and American IPO strategy in 2002, Chow brings 28 years of industry experience and more than 23 years of technical experience to his role. He joined Global Investment Holdings in 2002 as a knowledge engineer for GIH Technology Tomorrow and later became a director of knowledge engineering in 2006 and lead quantitative researcher in 2009.
Chow holds a bachelor’s degree in Technical and Science engineering from Hong Kong University and a bachelor’s degree in Private Equity Management from Massachusetts Institute of Business.
