McFarland, CA – In preparation for the upcoming school year, Trimm International Foundation held its annual Adopt-A-City initiative in the cities of McFarland and Selma, California, all with the goal of providing families with the tools they need to succeed.
“Every year, the city of McFarland looks forward to Trimm International Foundation’s Adopt-A-City Back to School event. The Foundation truly helps underserved children return to the classroom confident and equipped for the school year ahead,” said Manuel Cantu, Mayor of McFarland, California.
Trimm International Foundation organized and hosted the events to provide not only essential school supplies but also services such as haircuts, all while spreading hope and empowerment to over 700 families.
Mayor Michael Derr of Selma, California commented, “Each year the event gains momentum. We’ve witnessed Trimm International Foundation make a significant difference in the lives of our children and we could not be more pleased with the response from our community.”
Dr. Cindy Trimm, founder of Trimm International Foundation released the following statement:
“It has always been our commitment to Trimm International Foundation to provide young people with tools for success. Through our back to school initiatives—along with the help of our community partners – we have assisted many who have limited resources, to ensure that they are better prepared for a new year of learning.
Along with backpacks, school supplies, and haircuts, we offer parents the chance to thrive. Education is one of the most important keys to success, and to spread the message about the values that make both young people and their families more prosperous has been one of our biggest—and most rewarding—endeavors.”
None of this would have been possible without our generous sponsors and supporters, Coca-Cola, Walmart, Sun-Maid, Take It By Force, Rue21, and Urban Cuts.
