Dominique Ben Dhaou selected as Top Female Executive by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

PARIS, FRANCE – 18 Sep, 2017 – Dominique Ben Dhaou, Founder and Managing Director of “Point North” International Advisory firm was selected for the Top Female Executive Award for 2018 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only a few women are chosen for this distinction based on their years of experience in the field, professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, and contributions to their communities.  These are truly incredibly talented women who have dedicated their life to their work and have had a lifetime of achievement and success in a male dominated industry!

As the Founder and Managing Director of “Point North” Dominique brings a solid analysis process, customized recommendations and dedicated support so that Business Owners, Executives and Leaders of medium size and emerging companies can focus on their key priorities, gain time and have fun leading their teams. She helps them attract the best talents from the market, reduce turnover, increase engagement, improve reputation, and boost the growth of their company.

In 1991, Dominique first started in the Human Resource Industry for Levi Strauss & Co, where she selected and coached new HR Managers in Turkey, South Africa, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland and temporarily assumed the HR Manager Role in Prague and Budapest.  She impressively rolled out and implemented new Performance Management training programs, problem solving techniques and workshops while also supporting and serving as faculty in South Africa. 

In 1999, Dominique assumed the title of Human Resources Manager for Novartis Consumer Health where she was in charge of Compensation & Benefits projects and expatriates management, as well as leading the Corporate Learning & Development function.  She joined SGS in February of 2001, first as an International Compensation & Benefits Manager.  She quickly climbed the ranks as International HR assistant Vice President, to Vice President of Human Resources, to Senior Vice President of Human Resources, being part of the C-Suite and reporting to the Group’s CEO.

Dominique has launched the design and deployment of a global on boarding program, considered thereafter a best practice in decentralized organizations. She led the design and implementation of the SGS Corporate Human Resources Intranet pages as key communication tool for all employees worldwide.  She transformed the HR function by designing and staffing a new HR organization and promoting from within, sponsored the design and deployment of an SGS Group’s Employer Branding in 30 countries covering 83 % of total hires to facilitate the 15,000 and up hiring per year, rolled out a yearly worldwide engagement initiative to reduce voluntary turnover and allow focus on top priorities for talent retention.  She sponsored a global initiative to analyze and raise efficiency and effectiveness of the HR function and delivery across 110 countries. With all of the responsibilities that come with her title, there is nothing that Dominique cannot accomplish and she enjoys challenges.

Dominique received her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management from Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in 1987.  She has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. In 2015 she was inducted as a Lifetime Member and was named “Outstanding Member of the Year” by Bristol Who’s Who.  In 2016 she was inducted as an honored Lifetime member of the International Association of Top Professionals and named “Top Professional of the Year in Human Resources.”  For 2017 she has been selected for the Lifetime Achievement Award and to has a 2 page feature in TIP (Top Industry Professional) Magazine being released January of 2018.  She is also an international sought after speaker who spoke for Oracle’s Global event speaking on “Digitalization and Humanization,” and she is a planned speaker for topics such as Women Leadership or the Future of jobs.
