Tustin, Calif. – The Sony Music subsidiary record label, OC Hit Factory, releases “save the world” single, “Let Love Be Love” this Friday, Sept. 30. The song was made for listeners to wake up and come together.
In a recent interview, OC Hit Factory founder and executive producer, Thomas Barsoe explained the idea came while he was at the park with his two sons. “I got this idea when I looked at them and I realized how blissfully unaware they are of everything that’s going on right now,” said Barsoe. With the string of recent natural disasters and constant societal fights for things like cultural and sexual equality, “Let Love Be Love” focuses on coming together and living together in love. “As an artist, you walk a tight rope of cheesiness in this situation, but ‘Let Love Be Love’ pushes the envelope and comes from a really honest, raw place. This is not something that hasn’t been said before, but it is approached differently with an urban pop, hip-hop style feel.”

The single was written and composed by Barsoe, who co-produced it with Paul Najera. It features 11 OC Hit Factory artists – Robbie Dean, Jessica Cabral, Marcus Miles, Chozin, Zhavia, Laci Kay, Cloi Crider, Ellie Soufi, Cory Young, Jada Northington, and Jackie Hishmeh.
“Let Love Be Love” was written in its entirety by Barsoe in just 45 minutes with an incredibly quick turnaround time, as well. Within 10 days, both the song and the music video were in the process of distribution. “I would just have the artists come in as they could – a couple one day, a couple the next day, and so forth. Over a couple days, I had all the vocals basically. Then, I had to sit and edit it all and piece it all together.” Barsoe explained, “That’s a lot of work when you’re dealing with that many singers and that many harmonies. There are 102 vocal tracks on this song, which I think is a new record for myself anyways.”
The “Let Love Be Love” single and music video are set to release on September 29 and will be available on all music platforms.
