Flying Connected is scaling to new heights with the opening of a sales office and warehouse in Redwood City, California. This marks the third location, and the first on the West Coast, for the nation’s leading business-to-business iPad rental supplier.
Leading the West Coast expansion is Brodie Carteris, Flying Connected’s Chief Operating Officer. “I’m really excited for our new opportunities on the West Coast. I’m from New York, but we get calls all the time from companies who want us to custom-tailor their iPad rentals to utilize new software coming out of Silicon Valley. To be in the same area where the technological advances are coming from will help take Flying Connected to the next level.”
According to Schneur Landa, co-founder and CFO of Flying Connected, “This expansion also ensures that we will be better positioned to respond to our existing clients on the West Coast and address all their needs.”
The opening of the San Francisco Bay area office comes as Flying Connected prepares to announce a major new partnership with a leading tech firm in early 2018.
In the meantime, the growth of a company that started with a different business model continues to rise. “Flying Connected began as a consumer-focused business for the travel industry. In other words, we were looking to rent iPads to tourists visiting New York,” says co-founder and CEO Zalmy Raskin. However, it was nationally recognized corporations that came calling for the iPads instead. Seeing the potential, Raskin and Landa quickly revamped their business plan to focus on building a B2B company and have been growing the firm ever since.
According to Raskin, what keeps businesses coming back is the attention to detail and customer service that Flying Connected provides.
“Our clients utilize their iPad rentals to meet a number of different short-term objectives,” he explains. “Some use them for corporate training sessions once or twice a year or to handle onsite registration for a convention or as a means of payment collection at a tradeshow or festival. It’s up to us to provide them with the means to reach these objectives by utilizing iPads that are pre-configured for their needs.”
Flying Connected’s unique end-to-end solutions and “white-glove service,” which includes hand-delivering iPads via a courier to clients in New York City and San Francisco, are what set it apart from its competitors. Flying Connected counts Major League Baseball, the United Nations Foundation and BMW among its clientele.
“All our clients need to do is open the boxes from Flying Connected, hit a button and they are ready to go,” says Landa. “We are all about pampering our customers and anticipating their needs and challenges. That’s what makes us successful. We’ve evolved from renting hardware into a full service solutions company, and we are making an impact across so many industries.”
Adds Raskin, “We are here to impact people’s lives. If we can offer our services to make people’s lives easier and help their businesses become more efficient and profitable, that’s really our goal.”
