Dr. Lori Hendin Travis, M.D. is Appointed ‘Patient Preferred Neurologist’ for 2017!

Dr. Travis is a board-certified neurologist with nearly two decades of experience, working at Phoenix Neurological Associates. Dr. Travis is known for partnering with her patients in decision-making, helping them with the challenges they face in living with MS (multiple sclerosis) and other neurological conditions.

Dr. Travis graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine at Tucson in 1998, where she has served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology. She received her neurology training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she served as the Chair of the Neurology Women’s Advisory Panel; and she is affiliated with HonorHealth Neurology in partnership with Phoenix Neurological Associates.

In 1992, she interned at the office Senator John McCain, where she had a special interest in helping the office staff navigate the intersection between medicine and Congress. She was also guest speaker at the 2010 National MS Society (Arizona Chapter) Women Against MS luncheon, and is now a Board Member of the National MS Society (Arizona Chapter).

Dr. Travis has authored several publications including being the first author on a poster published at ECTRIMS 2014 international conference, an annual international meeting for Multiple Sclerosis: Examining the Effectiveness of Pregnancy Counseling in Women with MS of Childbearing Potential.

Dr. Travis has also been named “Top Doctor” by Phoenix Magazine, 2011, 2012, 2016 and is serving as a 2017 Patient Preferred Neurologist with five-star recognition from her patients.
