GreenDropShip.com, a full-service dropshipping business opportunities entity that has over 20,000 natural, organic, gourmet, and specialty products available at real wholesale prices, this week announced they have uncovered a new way to make frozen shipments speedier and more affordable for patrons today.
Having accidentally pre-sold a product that turned out to be frozen, GreenDropShip.com realized they had discovered something new and more affordable than the dry-ice alternative, requiring twice as much in weight as the product itself.
After considerable trial and error, they came up with a goal to contain the entropy that occurs while the package is in transit. The solution was sealing the package in an expanded polystyrene shipper and applying a polyethylene coating. To make it happen, they ordered custom-made shrink tunnel that would apply the correct amount of heat and cooling during the shrink wrapping phase.
“In case we hadn’t tested enough in the process, we received the machine shortly before July 4th at 2AM in complete shambles,” said Allen Kaplun, Managing Director of GreenDropShip.com. “Damaged at the port, we had to fly a technician in to repair it and order the necessary parts for replacement. After it as all said and done, we were finally able to start our frozen shipment process.”
Today, the company can ship frozen products at minimal cost and have it withstand a 3-day transit time without requiring dry ice and special shipment conditions.
As a membership-based wholesaler of natural and organic consumer packaged goods, GreenDropShip.com prides themselves on providing a wide selection of name-brand products, including snacks, supplements, body care, skincare, and more. Similar to what a consumer could find in Whole Foods, GreenDropShip.com makes it accessible through an annual membership of just $149.
“Organic food products hit a record of $43 billion in sales last year, ensuring a growing demand for organic products from health-conscious consumers today,” said Kaplun. “We purchase our organic products direct from manufacturers so we can pass on the savings to small to mid-sized businesses in the industry. Spread the word on the development of our new frozen shipment process, and consider integrating it into any kind of food sales structure today.”
GreenDropShip.com currently has a presence in Lebanon, Pennsylvania and Denton, Texas.
