24 Nov, 2017 – HiMama, a vertical SaaS company serving child care and preschool programs, has acquired Canadian software company DailyChildcareReport.
HiMama was recently named in a recent Financial Times article that introduced a newly coined term, FamTech. The social enterprise supports child care organizations in their daily operations by connecting early childhood educators with parents. DailyChildcareReport is one of HiMama’s first acquisitions, signaling the company’s continued growth in technology that supports educators and families.
Commenting on the deal, Ron Spreeuwenberg, HiMama’s Co-Founder and CEO says, “We are thrilled to welcome DailyChildcareReport users to the HiMama community. In addition to daily reports, educators and families will be able to take advantage of HiMama’s other features including child development portfolios, real-time messaging, assessment reports and parent invoicing. Our goal is to improve learning outcomes for all children aged zero to five, and we are looking forward to working with many new child care centers and families in the coming weeks as they transition to HiMama”.
DailyChildcareReport was launched in 2012 as a tool for preschools, child care centers and kindergarten teachers to send daily reports to parents about children’s health and well-being throughout the workday. “HiMama has grown their business with a talented team of engineers and dedicated support staff. I know that their product is excellent and their team is trustworthy, so I have no doubt that our customers will see this change as an upgrade” says Christian Pekeler, Founder of DailyChildcareReport.
The news follows HiMama’s recent announcement of their automated billing product, Smart Billing, last month. The acquisition of DailyChildcareReport allows HiMama to continue to drive towards market leadership in early childhood education technology. By November 30th, all DailyChildcareReport users will transition to HiMama’s highly rated platform, which includes Smart Billing, staff management, parent photos, videos and SMS messaging.
In addition to their technology, HiMama also has a social purpose rooted in the recognition of early childhood professionals. The company actively contributes to the under-resourced and undervalued early childhood education community with free professional development resources, templates, researched articles, a podcast and early education webinars.
HiMama is the leading app for early childhood professionals to communicate with parents. We believe in the power of early childhood education and are committed to improving learning outcomes for children aged zero to five. HiMama is based in Toronto, Canada.
