The World’s Most Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Shirt Launches on Kickstarter

Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong – November 28, 2017 – The world’s most sustainable shirts are now here. Cosmos Studio has introduced on Kickstarter its revolutionary new line of apparel for men and women that are made with the least consumption of fresh water, an ever depleting and essential commodity around the world.

The most sustainable shirt in the world is powered by a newly invented color diffusion technology that makes it 95 percent more eco-friendly compared to any other apparel making process. The Hong Kong based sustainable fashion start-up works on the philosophy of creating apparel using the most sustainable practices. The most sustainable shirt is also the most classic, designed to be premium, durable, easy to care and adorned with delicate details.

Twenty percent of the world’s fresh water pollution comes from textile treatment and dyeing. Around 1.1 billion people do not have access to safe drinking water, and 1/5 deaths below 5 years are due to water related diseases. Though we are surrounding by oceans, only 1 percent water is accessible for drinking. These statistics call for a renewed focus on the apparel making industry.

“The most sustainable shirt is the one where the wearer will not only look good, but also feel good about it. The future of sustainable fashion starts today,” said Davy, Cosmos Studio.

The unisex, minimalist design apparel use the GiDelave™ method, the most sustainable and revolutionary yarn coloring technique today. The making of these apparel reduce water consumption form the traditional 600L to a mere 30L. Furthermore, the process saves 95 percent effluents and 53 percent energy. The colors get shaded naturally at the yarn stage to create a unique aesthetic, and a signature natural washed effect. The cotton is BCI certified, all chemicals are Ecotex & REACH certified, and the factory is WRAP certified to create a perfectly eco-friendly manufacturing.

“Our GiDelave technology uses just 5% of the water of traditional dyeing methods, making a wildly positive impact on the environment over time. This is a technology that can revolutionize the fashion industry, and with it we will change the face of global garment production,” said Davy.
