The idea is to better merge man and machine to create a unique driving experience. October, 2017 – Mitsubishi Electric Emirai 4 developed a next-gen Automotive HMI technology. The systems, which will be integrated into road cars in 2018, allow passengers to interact with an on-board computer and gain information via augmented reality. Mitsubishi Electric has used the concept called Emirai 4, an electric and autonomous-capable vehicle, to illustrate the technology. The car uses a head-up display to superimpose a computer-generated image onto the view ahead. This can enhance road features such as white lines and road markings to improve visibility for the driver. Additionally, the concept offers a 360deg view of its surroundings with objects shown in 3D, rather than 2D like current production car systems.
Sep 07, 2017 – Continental, a developer of advanced driver assistance systems, launched its innovation of developed new human-machine interface that places the control of a vehicle at the user’s fingertips. The HMI – which is designed to be integrated into a vehicle dashboard provides a central input device for manoeuvre control in the center console as an element of the holistic human-machine dialogue, says the company.
