Keri Murphy, Founder of InspiredLiving.TV and Creator of It Factor, Featured on Influencers Radio

The “It Factor” creator, Keri Murphy, was the featured guest on Influencers Radio show sharing the video strategies she’s developed to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses and create celebrity positioning.

Keri Murphy, the founder of and the creator of the It Factor training, recently joined host Jack Mize on Influencers Radio to discuss how creating videos with purpose can position entrepreneurs as celebrities in their field.

Murphy was a TV host for over twenty years, working on networks which included E!, TV Guide, the Golf Channel and MTV. Even when working on TV, she always had her own business and is an entrepreneur at heart. She would watch videos that other entrepreneurs created and could see how inadequate and even damaging the videos were for growing a business.

She now teaches entrepreneurs how to create videos that will engage an audience and that will propel their business forward.

According to Murphy, “So often people put out a version of themselves that they think is perfect or that they think everyone wants to see. And it’s so inauthentic and so incongruent. So when I talk and work with people, the first thing we break through is that you don’t have to be perfect. You have to be authentic. You have to be yourself.”

Murphy’s “It Factor” program teaches entrepreneurs exactly how do this. Participants do on-camera training on how to create videos that will help them become the Go-To “Celebrity” Expert in their field.

Murphy feels that most people have the wrong mindset about the purpose of a video. She states, “A lot of times people don’t know who they’re talking to. They just hit Record and then it’s all about them, their script and their words. They really need to focus on who their audience is. Why do they need you? What is their pain or their challenge? Why do they need to work with you?

When you can start flipping that switch in your mind, shifting that mindset from “it’s all about me” and being perfect and saying things perfectly – to “it’s all about that one person” who is struggling and I can help them – that changes everything.”

Murphy believes strongly that she cannot overemphasize the importance of creating videos to market a business. She has found that 85% of people are more likely to remember what they see in a video than what they read in text.

She excels at teaching entrepreneurs how to exude confidence and portray empathy for understanding where people are at. She teaches not only technical aspects of creating videos, but also the more esoteric do’s and don’ts which will results in videos which look professionally done. These videos will also get the message across that that entrepreneur is the one person that people will want to work with.
