This past New Year’s Eve, CNN had an unforgettable surprise for their viewers! The leading television channel had an exclusive look into a real Las Vegas wedding. But not just any regular Las Vegas wedding. An Elvis Presley impersonator was there to officiate the ceremony and entertain the crowd!
Viewers back home had the opportunity to “crash” an Elvis wedding along with CNN reporter Gary Tuchman and his daughter, Lindsay. Audiences enjoyed watching the couple get “All Shook Up” to express their “Burning Love” for each other. After vowing to always remain faithful in good times and rough times, and in sickness and in health, the couple was also given vows that only The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll would be able to make them promise. The vows that Elvis gave to them had them pledge to never step on each other’s blue suede shoes, to never have a suspicious mind, and to never leave each other at the heartbreak hotel.
The world renowned Elvis impersonator, Charles King, gave onlookers a special concert, serenading them songs such as, “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, and, “It’s Now or Never. After pronouncing the lovebirds as “husband” and “wife”, the Elvis impersonator closed the ceremony with none other than “Viva Las Vegas”.
It was a unique experience for the couple, along with the 3.28M viewers that tooned in on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special.
“It was wonderful to have CNN covering our Elvis wedding live on national television. It just made our New Year’s eve even more special,” stated a representative from The Little Vegas Chapel. “We are proud to host the event and we all had such an amazing time. Our heartiest congratulations to the beautiful couple!”
