Cosmic Fiction is an upcoming two-act performance in Dallas Arts District and it is being organized with the partnership of Meadows School of the Arts Division of Music and Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet (DNCB). The event will take the legendary art of ballet to the next level and it will be inspired by the works of science fiction. In addition, the creators of this amazing program are welcoming everyone to generously support them in a recently launched crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.
“Cosmic Fiction will also feature a re-staging of composer Claude Debussy’s symphonic poem Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun in celebration of the 106th anniversary of the work’s production by the Ballets Russes,” said Emilie Skinner, a classical ballet artist from Dallas, while introducing the event to the Kickstarter community. Emilie is also the Artistic Director at DNCB and according to her, this event is simply a unique blend of science and art in a whole new way.
