“Dare to change the world” Denise Lopez featuring Mc Lyte

Due to personal tragedies, Denise’s life was turned upside down. She took a break and a journey within started. A journey that led her back to her origin’s in Mexico as a descendant to the Azteks, to the depth of her soul.

After a long break Denise went to Thailand. During this trip she aligned with her creative soul and returned as a re-borned version of herself. The trip made it clear to Denise that she must combine her will to help, with her career. For some time now, she has worked with improving the possibilities for people in dire need and she is, amongst others, an active member of the organization RHEP (Refugee help for Education and Business).

As CER (Chief External Relations) at AIAR, (Sweden’s promising digital tech start-up) she can finally combine her motivation to change the world with her creative part. Together it becomes an amazingly powerful combination. In Denise’s new song “Dare to change the world” we get to taste her powerful faith in youngsters and the wonders of innovative new technique. The song is fantastic, and Denise proves again that she is one of Sweden’s most talented artists and songwriters.

As further proof to this, the world-famous artist MC Lyte accepted to become a part of this success story. MC Lyte and Denise share a mutual passion in fighting for those in need, especially women. MC Lyte was moved by the deeper meaning of the song and her participation paves the way to international success.

Denise is officially launching her new single, “Dare to change the world”, March the 23rd. – The song has a great meaning for me and I’m now ready to share my journey with the world. The time is now, and we will change the world together, say’s Denise Lopez.

Furthermore, Denise was nominated top 150 Djane’s in the world by the magazine djanemag.com. Denise Lopez released four new singles during 2016/ 2017. Denise will now continue her work as CER at AIAR and as well embarking on a hectic PR tour launching her new single. Apart from that Denise as will celebrates 25 years as an artist!

Denise Lopez has had a successful career as a singer/songwriter/producer/Djane with more than 500 000 albums sold. She has toured the world and has sold out Tokyo Dome in Japan twice! She was the only Swedish artist to open up for Michael Jackson in Gothenburg, Sweden and was opening act to 50 Cent in Helsinki, Finland.

Denise has worked with prominent producers and song writers such as Max Martin, Andreas Carlsson, Per Magnusson, David Kreuger, Anders Bagge, Derek Bramble (David Bowie & Whitney Houston), Hebie Crichlow, Father Mc, Pras Michel (Fugees) and Michael Feiner among others.

Denise started her carrier as a dancer & backup singer and toured around the world between 1989-1994 with Dr.Alban, Melodie MC and the famous dance group Culture Beat (Mr. Vain). During her last year with Culture Beat she signed her first record deal and recorded the album TBA (Totally Bombastic Anecdotes) with Sony Music Sweden under her nick-name DeDe. Her second single (Party) opened the market in Japan and her first album TBA sold gold within a month. As an artist Denise Lopez was contracted to Sony BMG for five years (1994 – 1999).

The end of 99 brought a new challenge for Denise, she started of her own label and by July of 2002 she released her fourth album in Japan (through Epic) under the title” Like a Queen”. 2003 saw the release of three singles as well as her first DVD collection. In august of 2007 she teamed up with Grammy-winning recording artist Pras Michel (The Fugees) and released” Turn you on”, layered with her sassy vocals and Pras Michel’s signature fluid rap style. Turn you on is written and produced by Pras Michel. After nine weeks on the Swedish single chart,” Turn you on” reached position No.2.
