When asked about their service Williams said, “we’re proud of our numerous groundbreaking products, including books, games, and songs. And after decades of full-time international live trainings, we now offer a one-of-a kind online course.”

Since the 1990’s, their live trainings were well-received world-wide and now they offer occupation therapy courses online. They were honored with the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Recognition of Achievement Award for “Excellence in Intervention Development and Dissemination”.

“In 2003, we were honored to receive the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Recognition of Achievement Award for ‘Excellence in Intervention Development and Dissemination’ for outstanding contributions to our field.”

They also continued, “Our life’s work is focused on helping folks, just like you, understand the importance of self-regulation in our day-to-day lives. When we all understand how to be alert, attentive, and focused, life is better for children, parents, caregivers, teachers, therapists, administrators, veterans and seniors.”

The materials and online courses offered by the Alert Program® focus on simple, low-budget, self-regulation strategies, that can be adapted to work with clients of all ages; children or the elderly, non-verbal or verbal, typically developing or those needing extra support, those with mental health challenges, dementia, other cognitive impairments, as well as autism, ADD, FASD, and other learning challenges.

Williams went on to say, “the Alert Program® simplifies complex neurobiological theory to help your clients, their families, school staff, and others understand the importance of self-regulation in daily routines. Many therapists recommend our Overview of the Alert Program® Webinar for exactly this purpose.”

The program is taught by TherapyWorks, an AOTA Approved Provider, and has been used by therapists, teachers, parents, and children in over 40 countries.
