HRH The Prince Of Wales who has received a lot of bad press recently regarding a new book that has highlighted his diva demands and the way he treated Princess Diana as well as his strained relationship with his sons, has today released an Easter message to show solidarity with Christians all over the world who are being attacked and killed.
Prince Charles wanted to highlight the growing problem around the world where Christians are being persecuted. In his televised Easter Message, the Prince was close to tears as he delivered his message to people with all faiths.
He said in his message that was recorded at Clarence House earlier this month: “I have met many who have had to flee for their faith and for their life – or have somehow endured the terrifying consequences of remaining in their country – and I have been so deeply moved, and humbled, by their truly remarkable courage and by their selfless capacity for forgiveness, despite all that they have suffered.”
“My heart goes out to all who, this day, whatever their beliefs, are being persecuted on religious grounds,” he said.
The Prince continued: “At this time of Easter, when our minds are recalled to the suffering of our Lord 2,000 years ago, we think especially of those Christians who are suffering for their faith in many places around the world.
“Over the years I have met many who have had to flee for their faith and for their life or have somehow endured the terrifying consequences of remaining in their country.
“I have been so deeply moved and humbled by their truly remarkable courage and their selfless capacity for forgiveness despite all they have suffered.”
Those watching the Prince deliver his Easter Message have said they have never seen him so moved, not even when the mother of his children Princess Diana died in Paris on 31 August 1997, or at her funeral 6th September 1997.
It is hoped with Prince Charles Easter Message that it will bring all governments around the world together and to stop the suffering of people with faith.
