STEM Best Practice Summit – 2018 to be Held at Dubai on May 24th with More Schools, Top Global Thinkers and Educators in Attendance

May 17, 2018 – The schedule for STEM Best Practice Summit – 2018 has been announced. This year’s summit will take place on May 24, 2018, between 9am-3pm at DUCTAC Mall of Emirates, UAE. An independent and unique space for STEM teachers, school educators and related service providers to discuss and share the best practices in K-12 STEM education, the 2nd edition of STEM Best Practice Summit promises to be bigger and a more enriching experience.

The STEM Best Practice Summit 2018 will see participation from 200 schools and 600 educators. Some of the world’s top thinkers and doers will share pragmatic, real-world insights that transcend creative sectors. The keynote address will be delivered by Mr Thomas Sale, Lead Specialist academic support, Ministry of Education (MOE), followed by speeches from other invited dignitaries from organizations such as Microsoft, Global Institute Middle East, government departments, and educators from some of the STEM Best Practice Awards finalist schools.

The school case study discussions will comprise top 9 schools Across UAE. Participants at the event will get to explore some of the most innovative companies at breakout sessions at the partner exhibition stalls. The event includes the STEM Best Practice Awards, created to recognize excellence and innovation in the implementation of STEM Education at the Elementary, Middle and High School levels in MENA region. One winner each from the Three finalists will be chosen.

The key focus areas of STEM Best Practice Summit are reorganization of Schools who have implemented STEM Education, sharing the best practices of K-12 STEM Education and discuss how the education landscape in this field will change in the future,” said Bibin Boby, CEO, Digital First Global the organizer of STEM Best Practice Summit.

Organized by Digital First, the STEM Best Practice Summit aims to promote excellence, innovation and best practices in the way core science, technology and engineering subjects are taught at school. The first edition of this hugely successful event saw participation from about 400 educators from 141 schools and 19 speakers.

This year Summit come with an addition of STEM Awards for K-12 School the nomination process started by December 2017 through online  dedicated portal, followed by evaluation by experts and short listing of 18 schools in elementary middle and high school categories. The schools are paid a visit by a panel of experts, and the top three schools are shortlisted in each category. The finalists Schools are invited to the Summit to present their exemplar program, and winners will be announced at the event.

Upcoming editions of STEM Best Practice Summits are scheduled at global destinations such as Mumbai and Bangkok with dates to be announced.
