Another month, another expansion for the GraySquare team. Just over 18 months ago, the marketing and consulting firm opened their flagship office in Philadelphia, PA. In the months since then, they’ve built out most of their presence in the northeast US. Their newest expansion to Chicago is a bold statement that the company is aggressively attacking their goal of very quickly building out their footprint nationally.
“We’re certainly happy with our growth in both clients and markets in this first chapter of our company. However, we’re not close to satisfied. Our team is working to hit some pretty aggressive targets we’ve set,” says President, Tim Koontz. He added, “Philadelphia is a great hub for our northeast operations. If we’re going to build the national presence we’re after, we’re going to have to start making ourselves at home in other major markets. Chicago is a great step in that direction.”
GraySquare is known for being, in part, a major player in the deregulated retail energy space. The firm has partnered up to create and build sales channels for some of the largest companies in the industry. Opening an office a few miles away from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange is a powerful statement that speaks to their commitment to that channel of their business.
“Along with the obvious positive implications to the firm, we’re always excited to create jobs in new markets. We plan on hiring 50 employees in the Chicago area. Getting great people on our team in this market will lead to further midwest expansions, creating more jobs in the region. It always feels good when your company can make even a small positive impact on the local economy,” said Director of Operations, Landon Atkinson.
The leadership team at GraySquare has been set from day 1 to make bold moves and “shake things up” in the industry. This certainly helps put them on the map.
