San Diego, CA, United States – Jason Kulpa, CEO of UE.co, has recently launched a new scholarship to support high school seniors or current college students who are interested in studying science, technology, engineering, or math. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one exceptional student who submits a 500-word essay through the Jason Kulpa Tech Scholarship website.
Jason Kulpa is an innovator and tech visionary himself. He founded UE.co in 2008, and after nine years of serving as CEO, he continues to manage daily operations. His care and attention to company culture have paid off – UE.co was named “Best Place to Work” by San Diego Business Journal in 2018, and the firm continues to recruit top employees from all sectors of the tech industry.
“A quality education creates empowered, confident innovators who are capable of producing significant changes in the world. This scholarship aims to provide financial support to young tech leaders, so they can boldly pursue their dreams,” said Kulpa.
A passionate citizen of the San Diego community, Mr. Kulpa serves as a board member for the San Diego Humane Society and the San Diego Police Foundation. By bridging the gap between industry and community, he has managed to inspire growth and positive change both inside and outside the workplace.
In order to qualify, students must be interested in studying science, technology, engineering, or math, and must be either a high school senior that has already been accepted into a college or university, or a current college or university student that hasn’t reached their final year.
Applicants must submit a short essay (under 500 words) answering the following question: “Which technology company leader inspires you, and why?”
The Jason Kulpa Tech Scholarship Committee will review all completed applications once the application period closes on August 15th, 2018. A winner will be selected in September 2018. Once contacted, the winner will have two weeks to respond. If the winner does not respond, a new winner will be selected.
