Savannah, GA – Pastor Ricardo “Ricky” Manuel published his first book, Forgiving the Unrepentant on Amazon.com and is having a book signing on July 21, 2018 12:00 p.m. at Second Ebenezer Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia. Pastor Manuel wrote the book after his only daughter was murdered in 2015. In the book, he shares how his relationship with God, the teachings he learned, the people God placed in his life, and the Word of God helped both he and his wife, Angela, to forgive the woman who killed their daughter, Lorraine Manuel.
The eBook form of the book has already become an Amazon’s #1 New Release! Many people are being healed from years of holding unforgiveness in their hearts after reading the book. Diana Matthews wrote the following after reading it: “This book will make you cry, smile, and give you true insight into what forgiveness means. The words and meaning of his wife, Angela’s descriptions of ‘Words are just words until…’ are so true. I loved this book!”
Angela Manuel wrote a foreword to the book in which she shared encouragement to those facing loss. In it, she noted the many challenges that exist after a loved one is killed that no one ever tells you about. These challenges can be so overwhelming that they can cause many to fall under the weight and pressure of it all. She explained that “giving up” is easy, but you must be strong to keep going.
Pastor Manuel is the pastor of Second Ebenezer Baptist Church located at 800 Colbert Street in Savannah, Georgia 31401. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Matthew 25 Housing and on the Board of Directors of Step Up Savannah. Above all, he is a born-again, baptized, Holy Ghost-filled, believer, who takes his assignment from the Lord seriously. Two quotes that he is known for saying are, “Prayer goes where we can’t go!” and “Keep up the good works!”
