About Avanse:

Right now they face an international crisis. UNICEF estimates there are over 150 million street children who exist in the world today. A street child is a child who lacks adequate adult supervision and spends the majority of their time either living or working in the streets.

Avanse is a nonprofit whose mission is to advance the lives of street children in the world’s most neglected and violent slums.  We accomplish our mission through four levers: Outreach, Rehabilitation, Education and Reintegration. We bring opportunity to the slums to ensure street children move forward and rise above their circumstances. We believe it is possible to create a world where no child should have to sleep on the street.

Founded by Chicago Realtor, Jeannette Pawula, Avanse is there to protect the worlds most vulnerable street children living within the slums by giving them a safe and loving home and right to the childhood they deserve.
