SACRAMENTO, CA – August 2, 2018 – It’s been a whirlwind of a year for Raja Seivwright aka That Kid Raja. The Sacramento, California alternative hip hop artist, whose sound combines rap, electronica, rock and funk to create a unique style, is back with a new album this summer. The album, Charger is set for launch on the 10th August, 2018. It is going to be an independent, digital-only release and will be available on all major digital platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, Pandora etc.).
Charger is That Kid Raja’s third album, following his debut New Vintage Material in 2015 and Loud & Clear released July 13 of this year. On the album, That Kid Raja delivers a versatile 10-song album that covers everything from lessons learned from trials and mistakes he’s been through (Out There), to the ecstasy of being in a meaningful relationship (Acceptance). The artist has an evocative story telling style – touching on all subjects in an upbeat and highly relatable manner. Musically, the album combines real instruments with synthesizers and drum machines, giving the project a crossover feel.
Bigger than the music itself, That Kid Raja used creating music as a means to overcome panic attacks and anxiety. Over the past year and a half, he wrote, recorded and funded his own projects as a means of therapy and self-rediscovery. The results are his upcoming release – some of the strongest work he’s ever done.
In addition to Charger, That Kid Raja has also previously released three EPs this year – Active, Try And Keep Up As I Creep Up and Self-Motivated as well as the previously mentioned Loud and Clear album. In support of his 2018 projects, That Kid Raja is set to make appearances in select music venues and event spaces.
All news and updates with regards to That Kid Raja’s work and possible tour dates will be announced in future communications with the press.
