Alfa Chemistry Announced to Offer Optoelectronic Materials

On August 15, 2018, Alfa Chemistry launched to offer optoelectronic materials to expand its production lines. Taking into account the special requirements of materials in the field of optoelectronics, Alfa Chemistry offers a variety types of optoelectronic materials for the manufacture of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC), electrode, flexible printed electronics, organic light emitting diode (OLED), organic photovoltaic (OPV) solar cells, organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) and perovskite solar cells.


Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC)

Dye-sensitized solar cell is a kind of low-cost and thin-film solar cell. And it is semi-flexible and semi-transparent and most of the materials used are low-cost. Although its conversion efficiency is lower than that of the best thin film battery, its cost/performance ratio is theoretically high enough to compete with fossil fuel power generation.



An electrode is an electrical conductor for making contact with a non-metallic portion of a circuit. Electrodes are used to provide current through non-metallic object and to measure the electrical conductivity for many applications, such as fuel cells, EEG (for recording brain activity), electrophysiology techniques in biomedical research and so on.


Flexible Printed Electronics

Flexible printed electronics is an emerging electronic technology for making organic/inorganic materials electronic devices on flexible/ductile plastic or thin metal substrates. The materials used in flexible printed electronics are primarily functional inks and substrates. Functional inks are inorganic, organic, and nano-functional materials. This technology has many advantages include simple production process, small loss of raw materials, low equipment investment, flexibility and low cost, so it has a very broad development prospect.


Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED)

Organic light emitting diode (OLED) is a thin film multilayer device composed of carbon molecules or polymers including metal foil, film or plate platform, electrode layer, active material layer, reverse electrode layer and protective layer. OLEDs are used in the manufacture of digital displays in devices such as television screens, computer monitors, mobile phones and PDAs.


Organic Photovoltaic (OPV) Solar Cells

Photovoltaics is a new type of power generation process that uses solar cell semiconductor materials to convert solar radiation directly into electrical energy. Organic photovoltaic (OPV) solar cells are designed to provide earth-rich and low-energy photovoltaic (PV) solutions. Organic photovoltaic cells are available in a wide variety of materials, which can be classified into four categories including small-molecule solar cell materials, macromolecular solar cell materials, d-a system materials and organic-inorganic hybrid system materials. 


Organic Thin-Film Transistor (OTFT)

Organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) is a promising alternative to amorphous silicon devices. Compared to hydrogenated amorphous silicon thin film transistors, organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) can be fabricated at reduced temperatures and at lower cost. They are the fundamental building blocks for basic analytical circuits and are the key elements for digital combinational logic circuits. In addition, organic transistors are important in the manufacture of modern memory devices, integrated circuits, and microprocessors.


Perovskite Solar Cells

The new type of solar cell with perovskite as light absorbing material has a conversion efficiency of 22.1%, which can significantly reduce the cost of solar cell. And the perovskite crystals themselves absorb light, generate carriers and transport carriers, so the performance of perovskite solar cells can exceed DSSC and BSC (third generation solar cells).
