On September 23rd, 2018, the Qingdao Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (US Silicon Valley Substation) with the theme of “Gathering Talents in Qingdao, Creating Successful Future” was successfully ended in San Jose, the United States. This Entrepreneurship Competition aims to encourage the enthusiasm of overseas students in entrepreneurship and innovation, guide more young overseas students digging into scientific innovation, high-end innovation and independent innovation as well as promote exchanges between overseas Chinese and American students.

The Overseas Students Entrepreneurship Competition has been widely supported and broadcast live through new media. Through full participation both online and offline, overseas students interacted promptly with judges. This event gained support and attention from overseas students in multiple large cities in the world, and was broadcasted live at the same time in foreign cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Tokyo, London, Singapore, Melbourne, Bangkok, Seoul and domestic cities represented by Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Taipei, Jinan, Qingdao and other cities. Through nearly 6 hours of competition, finally 10 entrepreneurship teams standed out.
This event was a practical gathering for oversea students to promote exchange study and communications among students who study in U.S. It has created strong atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship, and made further contributions to achieve high-quality city growth, thus to expand the exchange and cooperation of Qingdao with the rest of the world.
