Los Angeles – October 23, 2018 – The Ryan Gordy Foundation hosted their Inaugural Celebrity Wellness Golf Tournament this week in partnership with Teen Cancer America, bringing out sports industry elite, high-level business executives, and Motown music royalty at the exclusive Moorpark Country Club in Southern California.
The invite-only Classic kicked off with a morning Wellness Reception and elaborate Gifting Suite sponsored by BMW, Callaway Golf Shoes, Bull Dog Skincare for Men, doTERRA Oils and more. The Gordy Family, Sports Legends and Celebrity guests gathered around the picturesque country club to tee off following the national anthem by English Actress and Singer Victoria Summer.
The Foundation brought out a number of special guests and close friends and family of the late Ryan Gordy in celebration of his vivacious life. Participants included; Berry Gordy, host Berry Gordy IV, Motown legend Smokey Robinson, 3x NBA Champion James Worthy, 2x NBA Champion Norm Nixon, Retired NBA Champion Olden Polynice, Redfoo of LMFAO, Sadhguru (New York Times best seller “Inner Engineering: A Yogi’s Guide to Joy”), Actor Kyle Massey, Social Media Star Mahogany Lox, Singer Khadija Emma, and many more. KJLH Radio entertained guests with tunes from their live broadcast throughout the day. The Classic hosted extraordinary giveaways with a fun interactive auction with top prizes including a brand new BMW, Trip to Hawaii, Trip to Pebble Beach, various Spa Vacation Packages, and cash prizes up to $10,000.
The Ryan Gordy Foundation is grateful and appreciative with the success of its 1st Annual Wellness Golf Classic in addition to the tremendous support received within their network. Proceeds from the event will fund Cancer research, resources, and support in the memory of Ryan Gordy.
