Filming has completed for the new feature comedy Charlie Boy, directed by Timothy Hines, (10 Days in a Madhouse -The Nellie Bly Story, War of the Worlds The True Story), starring Greg Kritikos with Kelly Le Brock (Weird Science, Woman in Red, 10 Days in a Madhouse), as Donna and Burt Young (Rocky), as Luca.
Charlie Boy is about a gangster who split from the mob when his negligence allowed his son to be killed. Through his grief, he embarks on a journey to right all the wrongs in a bid for redemption.
Kelly Le Brock turns in a spotless performance as the mother of Charlie Boy’s son and ex wife. Burt Young is sensitive and sublime as the sage of the Greek Community, Luca.

Seasoned stand up comic Greg Kritikos’ performance as Charlie Boy is reminiscent of those delivered by the great Jackie Gleeson.
Kritikos was the whip behind Charlie Boy. A man of stamina and drive, Kritikos has multiple projects in the works such as an edgy cool animated series The Witless Protection Program, which Kritikos developed with Former Marvel Comics Editor Mike Rockwitz.

The picture co-stars a brilliant cast led by Joanna Scorcia, Dave Morrisey Jr., Annunziato Carbone, Heather Cole, Matt Silver, Domenico Del Giacco, Giovanni Celentano. (Boardwalk Empire, Bridge of Spies), Peter Plano, Colin Buckingham (Mr. Robot) as the mob enforcer and introducing George N. Mikedis.

Charlie Boy also features some of New York City’s finest stand up comedian actors such as Nicky Sunshine, Teddy Smith and Adam Gabel. There’s a flashy cameo from Natasha Coppola Shalom.

Charlie Boy was filmed on location in Astoria, New York with scenes set at such local haunts as Beans & Lager. The community of Astoria is a character throughout the film. With a rich tapestry of melting pot textures, the people of Astoria are the backbone of the movie.
The movie Charlie Boy is produced by Dominick Martini, Greg Kritikos and Susan Goforth (10 Days In A Madhouse, War of the Worlds The True Story, Chrome) under School Of Old, media entertainment company. Martini also delivers a menacing performance as Big Angie the mob boss.
Greg Kritikos co-wrote the script with Frederick Stroppel (A Brooklyn State of Mind, Oswald TV Series, Almost Pregnant). Timothy Hines’ last movie, 10 Days in a Madhouse, was picked up by NBC Universal. The producers of Charlie Boy are in talks with major distributors and expect a release date of Spring 2019.
