To celebrate the 8th anniversary of the inscription of acupuncture and moxibustion of traditional Chinese medicine on the representative list of intangible cultural heritages of humanity, 2018 World TCM Acupuncture – Moxibustion Health & Art Festival (WAHA2018) successfully launched at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris on November 15th and at the University of Cambridge on November 18th.
The festival is organized by Keystone Culture, in association with the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS). The event is directed by Zhang Juncheng, CEO of Keystone Culture and director of the Health Communication Working Committee of the WFAS.
Guests attending the event include: Ma Jianzhong, deputy director of State Administration of TCM of China. Liu Baoyan, Chairman of World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies, Denis Colin, Chairman of European Association for the advancement of traditional Chinese Medicine and Vice-Chairman of WFAS. More than 1500 international guests from China, France, Germany, UK, America, Greece, Brazil and Australia attended the festival.
World TCM Acupuncture-Moxibustion Health & Art Festival launched at CIFTIS2018 in Beijing on May 29th. The festival is a transboundary brand that links arts performing with the promotion of acupuncture and moxibustion of traditional Chinese medicine.
Director Zhang Juncheng says that the festival is a key to build new bridges for innovative collaborations between the arts industry and health industry. “We focus on the idea of ‘acupuncture-moxibustion of China, health for the world’ to communicate the concepts of TCM acupuncture-moxibustion all over the world, thus encourage innovative ways of development in the acupuncture-moxibustion industry.”
