Salt Lake City, Utah – Hispanic actor Rosemberg Salgado is in high demand. He just finished filming Grace and Grit, appearing with Mena Suvari, and now he is filming The Secret in which he has a supporting role as Manny.
The Secret, a film produced by Tri G Production and directed by Andy Tennant, includes Katie Holmes, Josh Lucas, and Jerry O’Connell. It is an adaption of the book of the same name, according to Shielia Erickson, of Broadway Talent Management, Salgado’s agent. It is being filmed in New Orleans.
“Rosemberg is the best Spanish actor, and that’s why he is in constant demand. He has been going from one project to another,” said Erickson. “Directors not only love his great acting skills, they love his professionalism and dedication,” she added.
“I give all the credit to God that I am in the position of my acting career because of Him. Without God I would be nothing in this world. I am extremely grateful for everything my Heavenly Father does for me,” said Salgado, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He began his acting career at the age of 7 in Mexico City where he was born. He studied at the Derbez Acting Academy under Sylvia and Eugenio Derbez. He has worked with many well-known Mexican actors and filmmakers.
He decided to move to Utah 18 years ago to be more closely associated with people of his same faith. He has two children.
“After Hollywood producers discovered me in the movie Border Run with Sharon Stone, it opened more opportunities to put me on the map for Hollywood. Now I am working in bigger Hollywood movies with A-list actors,” explained Salgado.
He says he enjoyed working in Headlock, starring Oscar nominee Andy Garcia, as well as with Oscar Award winner Michael Caine and Katie Holmes in Dear Dictator. He co-starred with Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominated Sharon Stone in Border Run, and worked with Demi Moore in Wild Oats.
