SHARE+GIVE INITIATIVE LAUNCHES THE “UNITED AGAINST CANCER 2019 SWIMWEAR CALENDAR” VIA AN EVENING WEAR AND SWIMWEAR FASHION SHOW

Share+Give Initiative proudly launched the “United Against Cancer 2019 Swimwear Calendar via an evening wear and swimwear fashion show headlined by Gia Galicia. Breast and ovarian cancer survivors Audrey DeLong and Dana Richards walked the runway together with other models in honor of their families and friends that have been impacted by cancer at the Burlingame Masonic Hall  in San Bruno, California.

The United Against Cancer 2019 swimwear calendar features Dana Richards, a breast cancer survivor who is now a designer and a philanthropist;   Audrey DeLong, an ovarian cancer survivor, who is now a business owner and yoga instructor and Bret Miller, a male breast cancer survivor who founded the Bret Miller 1T Foundation Male Breast Cancer Coalition. The calendar also features models and advocates representing countries like Puerto Rico, Colombia, Mexico, the US, Japan, and the Philippines.

Ovarian cancer survivor Annette Velasco joined the other models in the evening wear segment with featured designs by Gia Galicia, Rolando Carlin and Renee Gee.

“The United Against Cancer 2019 calendar launch is not just a fashion show. We have also used it as a medium to promote an important message – early detection and prevention of cancer will save lives. This event drives us closer to our purpose of global awareness while at the same time inspiring people and making them happy,” said Gia Galicia, President of Share+Give Initiative and fashion designer. 100% of the calendar proceeds benefit the PSRC Breast Cancer Support Services Program in San Francisco.

EVENING WEAR:

The calendar serves as a mass communication tool for survivors and advocates to spread their stories in the hopes of moving others to act – screening and early detection. This is Galicia’s third charity fashion show and the second for breast cancer causes and something very personal to her since her family has also been impacted by cancer.
